Bookmas Day 3: Three AMAZING Book Friendships

Guys, it's almost Christmas!! Hailey @ HailsHeartsNYC created a 12 days of Christmas based book challenges alongside a "read as much as you can" readathon. She made a video explaining each of the daily challenges on her youtube channel here.

On the third day of Bookmas my true love gave to me: three best friends.

  • Beth and Jennifer from Attachments by Rainbow Rowell: These two are hilarious. Practically all that we see of them is through emails sent back and forth during the work day. They are funny through the good times and supportive through the bad times. It's an amazing female friendship for anyone searching for a good one. We see the tragically funny relationship advice and the pair telling each other about their plans for the weekend.
  • Simon and Penelope from Carry On by Rainbow Rowell: Now, this list can't be completely made up of Rainbow's characters, I had to include at least one more. Very reminiscent of Hermione and Harry from the later books (the point). Penny keeps Simon grounded, tells him when he's acting like an idiot and not to feel guilty for something he wasn't in control over. I love Rainbow, and I love her friendships.
  • Juliette and Kenji from Unravel Me and Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi: This friendship is the funniest of the bunch (mainly because of Kenji). This friendship doesn't happen until books two and three, but Kenji is trainer and best friend to Juliette. He makes her grow and embrace who she is and what she can do. Kenji is an A+ character and basically sparked the amazing development of Juliette that we see throughout the series.
What are some of your favorite friendships in books? Tell me down in the comments!
